Company Information

We’re looking for a creative, proactive Video Production & Editing Intern to support a Nashville-based recording artist across social media and content platforms. This is a hands-on role ideal for a student or emerging creator looking to gain real-world experience in music, content creation, and digital storytelling. This internship is designed for someone who can become deeply integrated into the artist’s day-to-day studio workflow, taking ownership of short-form content ideation, capture, and editing (so the broader team can focus on music + production operations). Academic credit is available.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with editing tools like Final Cut, Premiere Pro, CapCut (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle editing fundamentals at a high level, including cuts, timing, pacing, and color correction
  • A strong eye for storytelling and an understanding of short-form trends
  • Reliable, proactive, and self-sufficient (comfortable working in a small, fast-moving creative environment)
  • Nashville-based and available to work in person consistently (this is not a remote role)
  • Interest in music and documenting the creative process is a big plus
  • Hours: Flexible (approx. 8–12 hours/week depending on schedule and content needs)
  • Term: Internship structure with opportunity to extend (and potential for paid work if it’s a great fit)

Duties

  • Shoot, edit, and deliver short-form video content for artist’s social platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
  • Be present in/around the studio regularly to capture high-volume behind-the-scenes footage (studio sessions, writing sessions, rehearsals, content days, etc.)
  • Take the lead on editing including pacing, cutting, basic motion/graphics where relevant, and color correction/coloring
  • Be proactive on brainstorm creative concepts, formats, storylines, and trend-driven ideas that feel authentic to artist’s brand. This should happen both with and without the artist present.
  • Assist with organizing and managing video assets (hard drives, folders, selects), and keeping content deliverables streamlined and easy to access
  • Collaborate directly with artist and his team to create dynamic content that drives engagement, while maintaining a consistent visual identity
