KSN is looking for an upper-level college student who is ready to jump into the world of TV news.
Qualifications
- Be a collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
- Collegiate experience in news writing is required; can include AP Style writing for college newspaper, script writing for broadcast, or related assignments
- Previous internship experience a plus, but not required
- Fluency in English, bilingual Spanish a plus
- Must be a college junior/senior with multiple journalism classes completed
Duties
- Work with multiple team members to learn many different skills in the newsroom
- Choose a specific focus of photojournalism (shooting and editing video), multi-media journalism (shooting and editing video, writing stories for broadcast and digital) and/or producing newscasts (editing video, stacking newscasts, writing for broadcast and digital) based on the skills and experience
- Some sports coverage is expected for those who shoot and edit video (focusing on high school football)
