Company Information

PGA is seeking a Tournament Operations intern for the summer.

Qualifications

  • Have an interest in golf or sports administration as a career. Golf knowledge is highly desired - tournament experience preferred
  • Must be self-motivated and punctual
  • Computer and social media literate. Proficiency in writing, Google (G) Suite, and Canva
  • Ability to travel as needed. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age with a Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
  • Must be able to prioritize and execute duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Be organized and extremely detail-oriented

Duties

  • Pre-tournament software setup and management. Assist with events before, during, and after non-traditional work hours
  • Event photography as needed
  • Create and post social media updates before, during, and after each event via all digital channels
  • Assist in the creation and execution of MailChimp eNewsletters
  • Interact courteously with WNYPGA Professionals and stakeholders
  • Use critical thinking to solve problems and tackle tasks with minimal supervision
