We’re looking for energetic, motivated students with a passion for celebrity news to join our Spring Internship Program.
Qualifications
- Must be available for the entire internship session
- Must be comfortable with a work shift which begins at 6:00AM
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge of the area(s) of interest as reflected in their field of study, course work and/or professional/internship experiences
- Must be in your junior or senior year of college
Duties
- TMZ NEWS Assignment Desk / Research - Interns in this department will work with the assignment desk staff. Interns will assist with organizational projects, research, calling sources (with prior approval), and other general news-gathering duties
- TMZ SPORTS Assignment Desk / Research - Interns in this department will work with the sports news staff & TMZ Sports show staff. Interns will assist with organizational projects, research, calling sources (with prior approval), and other general sports news-gathering duties
- Podcasts Department - Interns in this department will assist the Podcast Producer and Associate Producer with editing and producing clips for various social media platforms. Experience in Adobe Premiere and Audition, a plus
- TMZ Clips and Clearance Department - Interns will research clip and photo assets for stories, assist in keeping track of TMZ’s extensive asset database, and shadow Clearance Producers on TMZ on TV, TMZ Sports, TMZ Live, and TMZ Specials. Interns will also assist with gathering assets and making sure they are licensed and credited properly
- TMZ Affiliate Marketing / E-Commerce - Interns in this department will gain hands-on experience supporting the TMZ Deals editorial operation by researching and identifying product trends across social and commerce platforms, assisting with product selection, and helping build and create content. Responsibilities include copyediting and fact-checking, writing product descriptions, maintaining a content tracker, and collaborating with a fast-paced editorial team to produce timely, effective affiliate marketing content
