Qualifications
- Candidates must be able to generate ideas, develop sources on a beat, and have some experience in reporting for a college newspaper or other news outlet.
- They should be interested in breaking news, reading financial statements, quickly getting to speed on a tech sector or company, and honing their reporting skills, particularly on the phone
- This is an ideal opportunity for a college or graduate student who plans to become a full-time business, tech, or financial reporter.
Duties
- Reporters typically publish a range of articles for our website and email subscribers, from earnings briefs to features, interviews, and newsletters.
- Help on our proprietary databases of startups, say on generative artificial intelligence companies.
- Have the opportunity to collaborate with highly experienced reporters and write about a variety of companies and topics, from social media to venture capital to e-commerce and advertising.
- You will spend the summer reporting and writing stories, supported by our team.
