The Alameda Merchants Baseball Club is seeking enthusiastic individuals to apply for the 2025 Summer Internship Program. This opportunity is perfect for college students who are looking for an introduction to the sports business or baseball.
This is an internship that will be hands on and fast paced, while allowing you to gain valuable experience in multiple areas of the organization. One of the primary responsibilities is ensuring that all fans have an unforgettable experience at the ballpark each night.
As a Merchants intern, you will not be stuck in one area. Instead, we offer you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in EVERY area that we offer with the organization.
One night you could be scanning tickets at the front gate, the next night you might be preparing food in the concession stand, the following night you may be working in the merchandise stand and the next night you could be on the field running game day promotions and entertainment.
Qualifications
- All interns are expected to work all home games and home playoff games during the 2025 season
- The Merchants are seeking college students who live in the Bay Area or attend a local college or university
- Interns are required to routinely travel to the College of Alameda
- It is highly preferred that students are able to receive course credit from their college or university for the summer internship
- Interns must be available to work from late-May through the first week of August
Duties
- Stadium work is part of the internship – This could include daily tasks such as hanging signs, cleaning bathrooms, picking up garbage, bagging ice, sweeping the concourse and mopping indoor facilities. This is an essential part of the summer for each intern.
