Fashion Index is focused on connecting new or emerging brands and those ready to expand. Fashion Index can help whether you are looking for a designer, patternmaker, seamstress, sales rep, factory, creatives, or if you need a coach to guide you through starting your own brand. We are looking to form partnerships with colleges and universities to provide Internships for academic credit meeting the criteria of each institution.
Fashion-savvy, self-motivated, independent intern with strong video editing skills needed to assist in editing content for Fashion Index’s corporate social media accounts. This role will involve working sessions with founders Tirsa Parrish and Marge Pietrera, providing hands-on experience with running a startup web platform. The candidate will draw on their existing skill sets while gaining valuable industry experience.
This is an unpaid internship, eligible for academic credit per your university’s guidelines. Only current students enrolled in an academic internship course or recognition program are eligible.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Canva and Google Workspace
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
- Highly proficient in aspects of video editing, color correction, sound design, and adding captions
- Familiarity with content creation for TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter
- High-speed internet connection capable of handling 4K video downloads/uploads
Duties
- Edit and post original content for Fashion Index (long and short format) on YouTube and occasionally other platforms (Instagram, FaceBook, LinkedIn, and TIkTok) and event recaps
- Participate in artwork review; caption, tagging, hashtagging
- Coordinate with teams to ensure cohesive corporate content
- YouTube analytics on a weekly basis
- Other duties are assigned
