Schneps Media is seeking a Social Media Assistant Intern to join our team. The Social Media assistant intern will be an integral part of our social media strategy and assist in managing the social media accounts for a brand under the company's umbrella.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and ability to create visually appealing social media posts using Canva or Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and Insights
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g.Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, etc.)
Duties
- Assist in managing and executing daily social media activity across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Work closely with editorial and creative teams to translate published articles into engaging social content, helping to tell our stories visually and effectively
- Help create, schedule, and post a mix of graphics, captions, reels, stories, and video content that aligns with the publication’s branding and voice
- Collaborate with staff daily to plan and organize posts that support ongoing coverage, breaking news, features, and campaigns
- Design social media graphics and visual assets using Canva and other tools to support both day-to-day posting and special initiatives
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative meetings, pitching content ideas, series concepts, and campaign strategies
