Highwire’s Internship Program is designed to give graduates hands-on PR experience in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Interns join real client teams, receive dedicated mentorship, and gain exposure across multiple industries, including B2B technology, healthcare, cybersecurity, energy and sustainability, and professional and financial services. Top-performing interns may be considered for full-time employment.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a positive, proactive attitude
- Strong writing, editing, and attention-to-detail skills
- Comfortable navigating social media and digital platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to client work
- College graduate with a PR, Communications, or related degree—or equivalent experience—and a strong interest in PR and communications
Duties
- Attend client meetings and translate discussions into actionable next steps
- Compile media coverage into client-facing clip reports
- Research reporters, blogs, and social media platforms to support campaigns
- Conduct customer interviews and support case study development
- Assist with social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing campaigns
- Provide general organizational and administrative support to client teams
