Company Information

Since 1977, the National Journalism Center has trained aspiring conservative journalists in the principles of responsible reporting while advancing their careers.

The NJC's 12-week spring internship combines on-the-job training with once-weekly seminars led by a distinguished panel of prominent journalists, public policy experts, and NJC faculty.
At the NJC, interns are matched with print, broadcast, or online media outlets based on their interests and experience. Interns spend an average of 30 hours weekly gaining practical, hands-on journalism experience at their designated work placements. Potential placements include the Washington Examiner, the Hill, the Daily Caller, and more.

NJC students also attend once-weekly seminars, sharpening their writing and reporting skills and acquiring a better understanding of media, politics, and public policy.

The NJC provides a generous $1,500 tax-free monthly stipend, ensuring that financial concerns do not hinder potential interns from applying. A housing scholarship of up to $500 is also available for qualified candidates.

Spring internships are offered full-time, five days a week.
Spring 2025: Jan. 20 – April 18.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a desire to practice responsible journalism
