WKRG-TV News 5 is currently accepting applications for a limited number of Summer 2025 News Internships. The program is a great fit for students who aspire to careers in
News/Journalism (multi-media journalists, reporters, anchors, producers, videographers, etc.).
Qualifications
- Students majoring in fields of study including Journalism, Broadcasting, Digital Content, English, Creative Writing, Literature, Pre-Law, Political Science, and Criminal Justice are encouraged to apply.
- It is not required, but it would be very beneficial if you have already engaged in some coursework and/or practical work in Writing, Video Acquisition, and Video Editing
- Ability to meet deadlines
Duties
- Broaden understanding of journalism and the media industry and employment opportunities in the field.
- Improve craft and presentation skills applicable to the student’s course of study and intended career.
- Develop contacts in the industry to facilitate mentoring and career connections.
