Company Information

The Newport Gulls Broadcast Network is second to none in summer collegiate baseball. With six cameras located throughout the stadium, the Gulls broadcast worldwide through ESPN+ in high definition. ASIDE from the Gulls' Play-by-Play Broadcasting position, the Gulls' Assistant Broadcasting/Media Coordinator is extremely viable to the overall media production and operation that the Newport Gulls are ultimately responsible for running at each home game.

Qualifications

  • While previous producing/directing experience is not necessarily required, applicants with prior experience are generally preferred.
  • Ambitious and passionate applicants who are willing to gain experience in every facet of the Media Operations within the sports industry
  • The ability to be flexible in regularly bouncing from different responsibilities throughout the season.

Duties

  • Pre-game, mid-game, and post-game media and production equipment set-up/breakdown;
  • Pre-game, mid-game, and post-game production, camera operation, production room directing and operations, and interviews;
  • Producing and filming of special team events, camps, and other related activities. In addition to the responsibilities previously outlined,
  • SOME on-air opportunity alongside the lead Play-by-Play broadcaster in a rotating schedule, in conjunction with the above "behind the scenes" responsibilities.
