Company Information

NJC pairs its interns with print, broadcast, or online media outlets that align with their strengths and interests. Interns typically spend 30 hours weekly gaining practical, firsthand journalism experience at their selected placements. Potential placements include theĀ Washington Examiner, the Hill, and the Federalist.

Qualifications

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a commitment to responsible journalism.

Duties

  • Participate in weekly seminars, sharpening their writing and reporting skills while gaining a deeper understanding of media, politics, and public policy.
  • Spend 30 hours weekly gaining practical, firsthand journalism experience at their selected placements.

Additional Notes

NJC's 12-week paid summer internship offers on-the-job training and weekly seminars led by a panel of prominent journalists and public policy experts. NJC provides a generous monthly tax-free stipend of $1,500. A housing scholarship of up to $500 is also available.
