The Publicity Intern will be an integral part of the newly-founded Publicity Department at Bleecker Street. They will learn about the ins and outs of in-studio publicity: liaising between various agencies and departments; organizing and maintaining publicity materials; conducting film comp and affinity press research; compiling press breaks; and learning how a film publicity campaign takes shape. 
We are seeking an intern who has a passion for independent film and who wants to deepen their understanding of film publicity. 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and GSuite
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with and interest in the entertainment industry landscape, independent film, and Bleecker’s slate of upcoming titles

Duties

  • Track and compile press breaks for all Bleecker titles on a daily basis
  • Build and maintain publicity docs including status reports, press request grids, talent schedules, and critics grids
  • Research and build out affinity press lists and critics group rosters
  • Attend and help facilitate screenings, events, and premieres
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks within the Publicity Department
  • Help with general research for press strategy for films
