We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Public Relations Intern to join our team. As a Public Relations Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of public relations, including media relations, social media management, and writing/editing. This internship position will provide valuable insights into the field of publicity.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading
- Knowledge of media relations practices and strategies
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their management
- Ability to conduct research and analyze data effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of public relations principles and practices
Duties
- Assist in drafting press releases and media pitches
- Research outlets for coverage
- Assist in pitching to radio, podcasts, television , influencers and bloggers
- Conduct research on industry trends
- Assist in research and administrative tasks, as needed
- Assist in researching venues for book events and putting together book tour
- Support the management of social media platforms and create engaging content
- Research and pitch partners
- Assist in organizing and coordinating events
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for PR campaigns
