Academy Award-nominated director/producer Matia Karrell’s production company, The Red Door Films, is seeking an Assistant Editing Intern for Summer 2024. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn the key aspects of documentary production and assist producers with their work during post-production of Coming Home: Fight For A Legacy, the first-ever feature-length documentary about the Women Airforce Service Pilots, unsung heroes of WWII.
Qualifications
- Able to give 15+ hours a week
- Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere
- Must be based in Los Angeles
- Knowledge of AirTable preferred but not necessary
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- High level of organization and time management
- Detail-oriented
- Positive, supportive, and professional
- Self-motivated and independent
- Always up for learning and trying new things
Duties
- Working with the post-production team to assemble daily string-outs and selects
- Transport and hand off hard drives
- Work closely with the Archival team, occasionally helping with research and logging materia
