Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern (Remote)

Company Information

We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in expanding their digital writing skills for our Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern position. This individual will join our Marketing & Education team where their writing skills will play a pivotal role in amplifying Rescue Agency's online presence and engaging with our community. This individual will have the opportunity to enhance how we tell the story of Rescue Agency’s impact on the nation’s most pressing health challenges and will gain hands-on experience in a forward-thinking marketing team at an impact-driven company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of basic marketing principles including promotion, events, social
• Excellent written and strong verbal communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
• Experience in a marketing and/or advertising company or department
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
• Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who can remain focused
• Some experience with creative programs to update social assets

Duties

• Write, copy edit, and audit Rescue Agency’s digital content
• Create and schedule monthly social media editorial calendars
• Pitch blog post ideas and write new content
• Update analytic trackers with new metrics
• Think critically about how to use data to support effective social & digital marketing efforts
• Assist with virtual event production
• Create content to amplify awareness of our events and speaking opportunities
