Academy Award-nominated director/producer Matia Karrell’s production company, The Red Door Films, is seeking a Director’s Assistant Intern for Summer 2024. Here you will have the opportunity to work with our development and post-production teams to research information regarding WWII and the Women Airforce Service Pilots.
This is an unpaid internship for school credit. Hours are flexible, but looking for a minimum commitment of 15-20 hours/week. Preferred availability hours in the morning and early afternoon. Along with working on the creative tasks, the Director’s Assistant is responsible for all the administrative duties of the Director, which include but are not limited to managing the company calendar, handling emails and tracking lists, and taking meeting notes.
Qualifications
- Able to give 15+ hours a week (including company meetings)
- Knowledge of online media archives
- High level of organization
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Understanding of Independent Film studio
- Self-motivated and independent
- Good writing skills
- Research and synthesis skills
- Detail oriented
- Administrative experience is a bonus
- Proactive and a self-starter
