Greetings from Hartsdale! We're thrilled to talk to you about interning at our production studio. Us technologists love to talk shop. You too? Then apply for an internship with us.
Keep in mind this internship is to share our skills in live streaming, podcast show, and A/V pre-to-post production. This means that the position is best suited for tech-savvy doers more happy behind the camera than in front. It will be a fun time and the unpaid detail will be made up for in every other way possible. To be clear, we raised our OWN eyebrows at the idea of an unpaid internship. This is a COVID-oriented impact. However, your work will never be photocopying documents, fetching coffee, or standing around waiting for someone to give you work.
The hands-on experience is worth its weight in gold. You'll be soaking up knowledge faster than a sponge in a tsunami. And you’re going to discover talents you never knew you had.
This curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of multimedia production processes and equip interns with practical skills and knowledge required for success in the field. The time periods are estimated and will change depending on the actual length of the internship.
Depending on the end goal of the intern, at the end of the internship they will either be the Technical Director or Creator of a launched YouTube channel.
Below are targeted focuses in addition to real-time responsibilities given by the Intern Supervisor and/or the Executive Director. Adjustments can be made based on the specific needs and resources available at the studio.
Duties
- Getting Acquainted with Multimedia Basics - Hardware, terminology, typical responsibilities
- Getting Acquainted with Role Expectations - Working with creative departments, metrics and KPIs
- Getting Acquainted with the Industry - Journeymen shadowing, professional networking, and other career-oriented activities
