The Texture Muse, a fine arts commission painter with an online following of 150k+ is looking for a proactive and responsible intern who is quick on their feet and able to wear multiple hats. As a Social Media and Engagement Intern, you will support the founder in scaling and operating the business while gaining valuable exposure to various functions.
The ideal candidate is a go-getter, self-sufficient, highly organized and able to work in a very fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for various aspects of the business, including digital marketing, social media management & engagement, website management, and product launches in addition to ad hoc requests.
As the founder works at an intense pace, the position requires someone who is able to handle pressure, quick timelines, and work independently.
The successful candidate will be given ample opportunity to take ownership of projects and execute them with a lot of free reign. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in various areas.
Qualifications
- Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a business related major, communications, or entrepreneurship, or art/graphic design
- Eager to learn (and able to self-teach – think “I’ve never created a Facebook ad before, but I’ll figure it out and get it done”)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Social media or marketing experience is a plus
- Proactive and responsible with a go-getter attitude
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Able to work in a quickly changing environment
- Interest in digital marketing and entrepreneurial environments
- Ability to work independently
Duties
- Support content creation, caption writing, and posting Instagram with 150K+ followers and Tiktok with 16K followers
- Be the engagement champion of social media including responding to comments and DMs in a timely manner
- Assist with the operations of the business, including email management, communication, website management and product launches
- Report directly to the founder to scale and operate the business
- Take full ownership and accountability of projects and execute them with a lot of free reign
- Be the keeper of ideas and tasks
