We’re in search of a few up-and-coming PR stars to join our intern team for the Summer (June - August) and support some of the world’s most iconic consumer brands.
Qualifications
- You’re hungry for real experience in the PR field. You’re a college junior, senior, or recent graduate studying public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field. You have a keen interest in news media and social influencers. You love what you’ve learned in class and are eager to take it to the real world
- You’re okay doing the nitty gritty. If you’re exploring a career in PR, you should know it isn’t all glitz and glam – there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. You could be running product to the city for a TV segment, assembling and packaging samples in a rush to meet editorial deadlines, setting up and breaking down events, and more. All these small pieces lead to big successes
- You pay close attention to detail. You love organization and typos drive you crazy. It’s important your standards are high as you’ll be responsible for product inventory, assembling mailers and shipments, maintaining coverage trackers, and sharing your work with a larger team
- You have an innate love for research. As an LPR intern, you’ll monitor for media and influencer placements, research reporters to create media lists, uncover new influencers across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more
- You keep yourself on time and on schedule. You diligently meet deadlines and know how to shift gears when priorities change (which they can, very quickly!)
Duties
- You’ll learn from the best. We may be biased, but award-winning LPR boasts top talent in the public relations field. You’ll work with LPR team members at all levels during your time with us
- You’ll gain a little bit of experience in a lot of areas. No two days are ever the same, and you wear many hats working at a PR agency. LPR intern responsibilities include but are not limited to research, copywriting, brainstorming, maintaining media lists, supporting events, maintaining clip reports, and minor administrative tasks
- We have fun. A lot of fun. We love to get together and find lots of reasons to celebrate throughout the year. A day at the salon, a murder mystery “date night,” and a trip to see the legendary NYC Rockettes are just a few examples from the past year alone!
