Global Gateway Advisors, a strategic communications consultancy, is seeking interns to join our team of dynamic communicators.
Our goal is to provide our interns with a sense of ownership, accomplishment and pride in the work they do. We offer the opportunity to support our clients on their day-to-day communications programs, participate in brainstorms, take part in professional development and learn how a communications consultancy works.
Global Gateway Advisors is focused on helping companies, nonprofits, organizations and governments to establish, grow, enhance and protect their reputation through dialogue and influencer engagement. We specialize in strategic communications, crisis + issues management, stakeholder + influencer engagement, executive thought leadership and media relations.

Qualifications

• Recent college grads and undergraduate students (preferably rising seniors)
• Previous PR or communications experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of other programs is a plus
• Social media savvy, with experience using Twitter, LinkedIn and other key platforms. Knowledge of social listening platforms is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for global issues and the communications field
• Solid research, writing and editing skills
• Ability to analyze, synthesize and communicate information
• Well organized and strong time management in a fast-paced environment
• Eager to learn and collaborate
• Responsive and able to jump in where needed
• Ability to work independently, but also a team player

Duties

• Conduct and synthesize research across a variety of current issues and topics of importance to our clients
• Draft and edit communications materials, such as media lists, pitches, press releases
• Monitor client news to develop media and social media reports summarizing and analyzing relevant themes
• Develop company, industry and media backgrounders and social listening reports
• Lead an intern project based on your own interests and the firm’s needs with guidance and support from other team members
