WHEC-TV is participating in the New York State Broadcasters Association Internship Program for 2024. A candidate will be chosen to complete a summer paid internship, up to 180 hours in which the intern will be exposed to the full array of career opportunities available in the TV Broadcast industry.
This opportunity provides an intern with the chance to witness and experience "first-hand" the operational procedures of a television station.
Qualifications
- Current student, at least 17 years of age
- Resident of New York State and/or attending a school in New York State
- Interested in a possible career in the broadcasting industry
- First time entrant into the program
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The Company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform the essential job functions

- News (Producer, Photographer, Reporter)
- Engineering (Master Control, Operations)
- Creative Services (Commercial Production)
- Sales (Account Executive, Digital Sales, Traffic)
