Somos Internship Program Mission Statement/Description
Somos’ internship program offers students a direct line to our organization as well as the potential to accelerate their future with us. From active coaching to cross-functional collaboration, you’ll gain critical, real-world project experience. As part of our program, you’ll gain direct access to industry leaders, subject matter experts, and most importantly, mentors. Not only will you work on impactful projects, but you’ll also benefit from a community of professionals who are passionate about preparing you for future successes.
Our 2024 program consists of full-time, paid internships that will run from May 20th to August 9th. This is a non-exempt role with a salary range of $25.00-$30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Our internship program is remote based; however, the intern must be located in the United States
  • Per recent USCIS/DHS rulings, international students are required to work from a physical office location for 20% of the work week. Therefore, all international applicants must be located near one of our 4 office locations in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia, or Colorado to be considered
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student, enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • Available to work full time (40 hours/week) for the duration of the summer program (May 20th - August 9th)
  • Required to undergo a pre-employment background check
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects
  • Team oriented attitude that no job is too big or too small
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Salesforce.com
  • Desktop research to qualify prospects that meet target criteria and identify points of contact
  • Copy email for outbound communications
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Experience with lead generation web services (e.g. Zoom Info)

Duties

  • Research and identify target prospects for Somos Commercial Products (using various tools: Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Manage and coordinate outbound communications to prospects
  • Qualify prospects through preset criteria
  • Manage and direct responses to appropriate sales team for further qualification
  • Audit records, update dashboards and reports in Salesforce.com for pipeline tracking and sales reporting
