Getting career help over winter break

The Newhouse CDC is here to help! By and large, the staff of the Newhouse Career Development Center will be available to students during winter break.

We will offer the usual services (appointments, scheduled appointments, drop-ins, etc.) through the end of fall semester, with the exception of a few days for the Thanksgiving holiday. After fall semester exams conclude, the CDC will remain open until just before Christmas. We are usually “unplugged” from then until just after the New Year. However, once we return in January 2021, the CDC will be available to you once again in the weeks leading up to the start of spring semester.

The good news is that we will be available to you virtually through the majority of your winter break. Don’t forget that you can also email nhcdc@syr.edu with questions, as well as utilize the resources on this site – which is available 24/7/365! – while you’re at home to polish your resume, tweak your cover letter, and prepare for the next career steps that lie ahead.
