Behind the Business is a fast-growing, thoughtfully produced video show and podcast that aims to explore the decisions and philosophies behind some of today’s most influential leaders.
The show is hosted by Michelle Toh, an award-winning journalist and NYT contributor, formerly with CNN and FORTUNE.
Behind the Business is looking for a sharp, creative Social Marketing Intern to help grow our audience and elevate how our content shows up online.
Qualifications
- Obsessed with content strategy, media and storytelling
- Deeply familiar with podcasts and short-form video content on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Detail-oriented, organized, proactive and reliable — you have high standards and notice the little things
- Interest in business & tech news, startups, founders and business culture
- Plus if you have a background in journalism
Duties
- Brainstorm captions for highlight social clips from each episode that drive engagement from the show's key moments, maintains accuracy and hook audiences
- Strategize approach to the show's Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
- Pitch ideas for social videos or new types of social posts, including news explainers, analysis videos, special formats and guests
- Analyze data to see what’s working and suggest improvements
- Suggest social collaborations to drive awareness and grow audience across channels
