Company Information

The White House Correspondents' Association is looking for an enterprising journalism, communications, public relations or social media student for a paid internship. 

Qualifications

  • A current student or recent graduate with journalism, communications, public relations or social media degree, or comparable experience
  • A digital native comfortable with and familiar with the major social media platform
  • Fluent writing and communication skills
  • Understanding of journalistic ethics and principles
  • Familiarity with videography and video editing a plus
  • Number of hours expected per week- 10 hours per week, June 8 to August 14.

Duties

  • The intern's primary responsibilities would be developing the association's social media presence to communicate the organization's mission to its members and the general public.

Apply with external link and include a single page cover letter, including brief description of proposed campaign, and a resume. Applicants should outline an idea for a social media campaign that would help communicate to the general public the importance of a free press covering the White House.
