Passager Books, a nonprofit press since 1990 that publishes poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction by older writers is looking for interns for a variety of positions. The internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in any major although an interest in literature, creative writing, and/or journalism would be useful. 

Qualifications

  • Passager prefers students who are interning for college credit but will consider students seeking noncredit internships.

Duties

  • Interviewing Passager writers and assisting in editing those interviews into produced audio pieces and print feature articles.
  • Creating promotional material for Passager (e.g., newspaper and magazine articles) and researching places that might publish them.
  • Assist in writing and producing Passager's weekly podcast.
  • Assist in conducting research related to fundraising, grantwriting, and upcoming Passager projects.
  • Assist in developing Passager's social media presence.
