The Charleston County Parks’ Marketing Internship allows students in the communications and marketing fields to pursue their career in a fun environment and with an award-winning marketing team.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma and currently pursuing a four-year college degree in marketing, communication, journalism, public relations, English or related field. Some marketing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in oral and written form
- Experience with shooting and editing photography and video footage for use on social media and other outlets
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Knowledge of marketing reporting and measurement techniques
Duties
- Write news releases on CCPRC programs and special events for distribution to media outlets including local and regional print media, television and radio stations.
- Develop elements of a full marketing campaign for an event, to include press releases, social media posts, digital and web copy, ad copy and graphic design elements.
- Assist in the planning and development of social media content.
- Create content including photography, video, and copy for campaigns.
- Assist with preparation for and attend TV/radio interviews.
