Company Information

REACH CNY is a nonprofit organization based in Syracuse, NY. Its mission is to empower individuals and families to live their healthiest lives. Our vision is to be known as a regional leader for advancing health equity and collaborating with individuals and families to help them thrive through effective, inclusive, community-driven programs and initiatives. REACH CNY was formed from the recent merger of REACH CNY, Inc. and the Consortium for Children’s Services, Inc. (the Children’s Consortium). REACH CNY’s history dates back to 1990, when a community Perinatal Network was founded in response to high infant mortality and racial disparities in Syracuse. In 2004, a smaller organization, the Central NY Council on Adolescent Pregnancy, merged into REACH CNY, expanding its funding streams to include adolescent pregnancy prevention and other public health education initiatives. The Children’s Consortium has a rich history of providing parenting education and supporting early literacy to Central New York families since the early 1970s. REACH CNY and the Children’s Consortium began operating “as if” merged for the 7/1/23- 6/30/24 fiscal year and the merger became official as of July 1, 2024. REACH CNY currently serves primarily Onondaga and Oswego Counties but also reaches other Central New York families via virtual parenting education.
