The Intern will work with the Operations Manager to gain hands on experience and knowledge in an eclectic blend of areas within a radio station including, but not limited to, the imaging department, programming department, news department, marketing department and sales department.
Qualifications
- Must have availabiliy on weekdays and weekends between June, July, and August.
- Interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production, digital and engineering staff.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties
- Assists in writing and the production of a radio broadcast.
- Contributes to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations.
- Research production topics using the internet, video archives, and other information sources.
