Company Information

The New Jersey PGA Section and the New Jersey Golf Foundation are looking for enthusiastic, driven, and personable college students who are interested in gaining experience and working in the sport management industry while earning academic credits through their institution.

Qualifications

  • An intern fulfilling credit at their academic institution is preferred
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, punctual and willing to work flexible hours
  • Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Have knowledge of social media and must be computer literate
  • Golf knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Having a car is necessary as you will be driving to various locations throughout NJ

Duties

  • Promotion and on-site operations of the New Jersey PGA Junior Tour, US Kids Golf Tournaments and Drive, Chip & Putt Qualifiers.
  • Tournament set up, registration, a starter on the first tee, pace of play monitor, social media posts, scoring and award presentations
  • Assisting our staff and interacting with our professionals, sponsors, and amateurs at weekly events.
  • Live-scoring, tee gift distribution, spotter duties and help with registration
  • Helping grow the game of golf through our three pillars: military, youth, and special needs.
  • Assist with fundraising events, Special Olympics New Jersey, Golf in Schools and PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere)
